Mechanical Motion - Frost Giant Toy

This assiggnement called for Mechanical motion. I did a frost giant using a crank shaft mechanism made out of old lego gears + motor. Magic Sculpt is amazing! It can support so much with with so little clay. Only people that sell it in NY is a store called Completesculptor.

Lighting project - PMS Light

I did a PMS light. Alight that changes colors as a pubescent female changes moods.

Parsons Table

So they offered us four kinds of table choices for a final during my first year. I chose the Parsons table. I modified it so it has a removable plastic top and you could insert any picture you want there. Floating tenon joints and woodglue hold it together. Wood glue turns out to dry and become harder than the wood itself.

bookshelf

The shelf can't hold much when its sitting upright, but if i were to
hang it up sideways it could hold about 2 feet worth of space. I
wanted to build a shelf that would sit on an apartment floor really
but my teacher said no. so instead i came up with this design so it
does both.

Metal Fabrication 101

So I had to learn to weld with a MIG and it was pretty fun. I made this footrest/ministool. It's lined with bamboo. Crazy fabric purchased from mood.

Furniture design

They really force furniture design on our agendas to learn connections and how to use the machinery. the chair is an ode to the game Bomberman. my friends and I would play it all the time on Sega Saturn (Best multi-plyaer version hands down), and we came up with the title Bomberking! and every king needs his throne! I bent and veneered the plywood myself. Fingerjoints and sitters own weight keeps the thing balanced.

Product Design !
